Paul Bielenberg
I am passionate about architecture and photography.
Architecture can uplift, inspire and transform lives. My vision as a photographer is to create images which capture the experiencing of being in the space.
At 20, I was inspired by 2 classes at UC Berkeley—one by John Wheatman (Interior Designer, Cole-Wheatman, San Francisco) the other by Murray Silverstein (Architect and co-author of the Pattern Language books). This gave me all I needed to merge my love of architecture and photography.
At Art Center College of Design I pursued that passion.
I have continued my connection with Art Center by teaching Architectural Photography one day a week since 1986 and was recipient of the 2018 Alumni Award.
I am grateful to have worked with so many noteworthy firms and designers including: Gensler, SOM, HOK, Leo A Daly, Aref, Welton Beckett, Nadel, Hendy, Wirt Design, Sussman-Prejza, The Moderns and John Lautner.
